Rayvanny takes over South Sudan’s Independence Day

Rayvanny

Dar es Salaam. Tanzanian music sensation Rayvanny delivered a high-energy performance on July 9, 2025, as he headlined South Sudan’s Independence Day concert at the newly renovated Juba National Stadium.

His arrival in Juba was accompanied by a confident proclamation on social media.

“Not Arena, we do stadiums!!! #JUBANATIONALSTADIUM #SouthSudan #GLOBALWAY Trust me, this place will be packed to the brim,” a bold statement that set the tone for what would become one of the country’s biggest concerts to date.

The award-winning artiste, known for chart-topping hits like “Kwetu” and “Tetema,” drew a massive crowd as he took the stage in front of nearly 19,000 fans.

This marked Rayvanny’s first-ever performance in South Sudan, fulfilling what he described as a long-held dream to connect with the country’s audiences.

But Rayvanny wasn’t alone in delivering a night to remember.

The concert featured a dynamic lineup blending local and international acts, including South Sudan’s own John Frog, Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo, and rising stars Wing Bwoi, UPkidd, MT7 Degreez, Magai Lok, and DJ Cent Mr No Rest.

Together, they created a powerful fusion of East and West African sounds, reflecting the spirit of unity and cultural pride that Independence Day represents.
