No violence • The throwing of a shoe at President William Ruto on Sunday during his tour of Migori County “was most unfortunate and must be strongly condemned by all”, says Fred Njuki. “We may differ with him on how he’s running the country, but violence has no place in any civilised society. This should also be a wake-up call to the leaders to stop the everyday rhetoric.” His contact is [email protected].

Shameful • The President, Lincoln E. Oyigo says, deserves the respect of all Kenyans. Whether President Ruto is bad or not, the presidency must be fully respected. “Throwing a shoe at him at a public rally, as happened in Migori last weekend, was so shameful. The culprit should be quickly sought and immediately brought to book. What a shameless coward!” His contact is [email protected].

Expectations • After keenly following the media reports on the multiple attempts by some activists to remove the Supreme Court judges from office, and which have all been thwarted with rulings in their favour, Githuku Mungai says: “I personally have no issue with the top judges and can only hope they have all met the expectations of those positions.” His email address is [email protected].

Poor connection • Every evening last week between 4pm and 7pm, Diani Beach resident Pauline McKenzie says she has had to call NTT Data business service provider support team and demand full internet connection. “Maybe they should give me mobile phone credit as it will most probably continue. Does anybody else have this problem?” Her contact is [email protected].

Mboya history • There is work to do on refurbishing the statue in Nairobi’s city centre of Tom Mboya, the freedom fighter, trade union boss and Cabinet minister, who was assassinated in 1969. Says Francis Njuguna: “The county has taken too long to put inscriptions on it. People, especially the younger generation, need to know who this great man was.” His contact is [email protected].

Have a heroic day, won’t you!
