Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League (FKF-WPL) defending champions Kenya Police Bullets could be crowned this season's winners tomorrow ending an engrossing four-horse race.

Bullets, who top the table with 42 points, will retain their title should they beat four-time champions Vihiga Queens, who are fourth on 37 points, at Kenya School of Government, Lower Kabete in Nairobi.

Second-placed Ulinzi Starlets, with 39 points, will be closely monitoring the match hoping that Bullets lose to take the title race to the wire.

The KDF side, who have no fixture this weekend, crushed TUK Ravens 8-0 last Sunday, and will face Kisumu All Starlets in their final game of the season on May 25.

Third-placed Kibera Soccer Women (38 points) are away to Zetech Sparks at their Mangu Campus grounds and will also be keeping an eye on the Bullets versus Vihiga Queens game.

Bullets and Starlets have each lost only one game this season, to Zetech Sparks (3-4) and Vihiga (0-1) respectively. Bullets and Kibera possess the meanest defence in the league having let in only seven goals apiece. But no doubt, Bullets are poised for glory.

The policewomen, under coach Beldine Odemba, beat Vihiga Queens 1-0 in their first leg match on December 15, 2024 at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.

Vihiga will be fighting for the three points to push them to second on the table with 40 points, setting the stage for a tense final day.

Bullets will play their last match away to Trinity Starlets at Trinity Complex, Kikopey in Nakuru hoping to have wrapped up the title race. On the same day, Vihiga will host Kisped Queens at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

In Sunday's other matches, fifth-placed Zetech Sparks will host Kibera at Zetech University, Mang’u Campus grounds, while Bungoma Queens will host Trinity Starlets in a mid-table clash at Bungoma National Polytechnic.

Kibera, who looked like championships material for better part of the season, dropped out of contention after three expensive losses to Trinity Starlets (0-1), Bullets (0-2), and Ulinzi Starlets (0-1).

On Friday, Kibera head coach David Bujego told Nation that their focus has shifted to the FKF Women’s Cup.

In the relegation battle, Kisumu All Starlets will host Kisped at Moi Stadium, while Mombasa Olympic face Bunyore Starlets at Makande Primary.
